Swaying coconut palms and colorful streets throw us back to this simple yet sophisticated drink. The Havana Kavana is not just a rum and cola, we added a little sweet spice rim to this cocktail. The fresh lime does the heavy lifting of tart, while the spiced edge makes you fall in love all over again with this classic.


  • 1 Ripe Lime

  • 2 oz. Kavana Gold Rum

  • Cola To Taste

  • (With The Added Coconut Sugar Allspice Rim)

  • ¼ Cup Coconut Sugar

  • ½ Teaspoon Ground Allspice

  • 1 Lime Wedge


First make the coconut allspice sugar: Simply combine the ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Then pour out onto a shallow plate. Use the lime wedge to rim your glass, then dip the rim in the coconut allspice sugar, and set aside.

Squeeze the entire lime into a Collins or highball glass.

Drop half the spent lime shell into the glass and muddle the oils from the lime skin into the lime juice, then remove shell.  Add ice and rum. Top with cola and stir briefly.
