A Halloween blood orange daiquiri that is perfect for the spooky time of year that blood oranges are coming into season. Can’t find blood oranges? With this recipe, you can use blood orange soda (Pellegrino makes a nice one) or pre-squeezed juice in your grocer’s refrigerated section. The acidity of blood orange juice in this daiquiri is outstanding and festive with a black salt rim. Salty, sweet, and oh so neat!

  • ¼ Cup Fresh-Squeezed Blood Orange Juice (About 2 Medium Blood Oranges) or Store-Bought Alternative

  • ½ oz. Fresh-Squeezed Lime Juice (About One Lime)

  • 3 oz. Kavana Gold Rum

  • Ice

  • Black Salt

Take a glass of your choosing, and rub the rim with the edge of a blood orange slice or anything sticky and sweet.  Swirl the rim through a small pile of black salt until well coated.

Combine all ingredients into an ice-filled cocktail shaker and shake for 15 seconds.

Put a few cubes of ice in the salted glass.  Strain the cocktail into the glass and enjoy the night.
